Anyone using StumbleUpon?

I recently came to know about Stumbleupon and would like to know more about it from people who are already getting traffic from it.

    1. Is the traffic targetted and does it convert?

    2. If not, how can you bring targetted traffic to your site through Stumble Upon?

    3. How can you get other people to stumble your site and write a review for it?

    4. Does using StumbleUpon help in getting links for your site?

I've read around at DP some people get around 100 visitors to their site from StumbleUpon daily! Thats great!

I'd like people to stumble the site in my sig.. Will pass a few greens your way! Thanks!

Not sure, but what I can tell you is that stumble upon does work for a hand full of people. I'd generally say it's not targetted because most sites are found upon by pressing "stumble".

You get hits here and there, I'm not sure on how many you'd get really. It's always worth it to submit your site in as many places as possible though. :)

    Yep,

Agreed. Not a lot of traffic but better than getting none at all.

    Rosie,

It is semi-targeted ... since you can choose the topic and you then stumble pages from the that topic..... I don't know traffic from stumble converts but when you get thousands of visitors someone might just buy something :D
The same is for links ... maybe someone will like your website and write something about it .... voila -> backlink :D .... check out your reputation I left some comment there :D

One of my entertainment/humor sites regularly gets visitors from stumbleupon with maybe a few Adsense clicks as a result.

Since I'm looking to promote the Dublin related site using Stumble Upon, IMO, it will be a good idea if I can get people from Dublin to stumble the site. Any ideas how I should go about doing that?

Thanks Richie_Ni and Rubeina for the stumbles :)

Like someone else said, it's reasonably targeted. People are choosing the topics they want to be exposed to when they hit "stumble". For some sites it converts, and for others it doesn't. It converts well for an indie music site I run, but not at all for a business site I run.

I believe there's also a paid option to help drive more targetted traffic to your site (I haven't personally used it though).

You can sit back and "hope". ;) Or you can add some of the better pages / resources from your site that you want people to stumbleupon. Most will probably just give a thumbs up/down, but if you're adding top quality pages, you're more likely that someone will review it.

Links are going to depend a bit on the quality of the site/page too. If they like it, they'll bookmark it, come back, and hopefully mention it somewhere giving you some quality backlinks.

Some get a lot more than that. :) It's going to depend a lot on the topic and the individual pages you have indexed on SU though. :)

Just submitted one of your inner pages to SU. :) - the book a band page

    1. traffic is not quite target. And like digg user, they don't click Ads

    3. Add friend, search for your keyword and add all user that pop up

    4. traffic is good, i 've got 30-40 daily and i 've got around 1500 yesterday. However, no link and just 5 Adsense click
