Hi, I'm a newbie and know nuts about programming... perhaps a lil bit of HTML here and there that's all I would like to start some sort of web 2.0 website as a hobby and found out that the easiest language to learn (self-learn) is python... but just wondering if any of you guys familiar or use python i understand that most websites run on php or java... so any opinion what kind of language i should take for building website as a hobby?
First learn HTML well and then PHP. You should also learn CSS so that you can create websites that are easy to maintain and standards compatible.
I recommend you buy or borrow a book because they are more convenient to use and you can always refer to them when you need to. If you want an online tutorial then try www.w3schools.com .
