Anyone using Newsvine.com yet?

This site is claiming to be the next Digg. They have a similar feature where you can "seed the vine" with links just like Digg. Or you can write a blog article which is posted in your own space (yourname.newsvine.com) and you earn 90% of the revenue from the traffic generated by the article. I have tried both techinques so far and have yet to make any money from the site. But it looks to have promise. Just a heads up, you might want to go register a name now while it's still wide open and good names/blog domains are available.

Is it me or is this site (newsvine.com) really "busy"? There seems to be so much info splashed in one place I can't find anything.

Maybe I just need another Dew...

Yes I've used Newsvine - I think it's a fairly innovative idea (merging published AP headlines with user headlines and allowing comments across the board), and certainly the next step in online news services.

I didn't realise it had come out of beta so soon - during the beta period they weren't showing advertisements so maybe they haven't got around to the revenue sharing bit yet.

The site also seems to have some strong backers behind it.

I got a whole bunch like money.nv.com etc.

I haven't really played with it yet though - I'll get round to it when/if it's a success.

I wanted business.nv.com but it was already registered...I think they took a bunch of them when they set up the site because there are no posts on any of them

    I dunno - I'm not sure, but I might have business.nv.com

Really, I went nuts and registered 20 or so the day I heard about it which was a good couple of months ago now...

I did have news.newsvine.com too - not sure if I still do...

I should login and check really.

I have a feeling they will take most of them away that are either expletives (the ones you gave) or seem like navigation (mine)

Yeah, I can see a NewsVine developer going "Oh, frack me" right now looking at the newest accounts.
