What would be the advantage of using name.com? They're not especially cheap.

I have several there that are IDN's.
URL forward is free and can be masked.
I have not had any problems and the dns updates quick.
Ill still use them for some.

The advantage is that they are cheap and reliable much more than world's favorite GoDaddy

name.com is the sister site of domainsite.com (owned from the same company)

name.com transfer fee is $5.99 without any funny coupon codes

if you have many names you can register them to domainsite.com and then transfer them to name.com
For my 1200 names so far i gained $1152 the first year (compared with the $6.95 price with coupon of GoDaddy)

I use them for about 4 years now and i didn't have any problems so far

No promo emails or anything, just email renewal notifications before the names expire

domdom..whats the advantage of buying at name.com and transferring to domainsite?

are there no transfer fess because they are owned by same company??

what do you mean by this?

""For my 1200 names so far i gained $1152 the first year (compared with the $6.95 price with coupon of GoDaddy)""

    I think i lost you

There are no advantages when you transfer to domainsite.com ($6.99) but FROM domainsite or any other registrar TO name.com

    name.com has $5.99 per transfer

If i used GoDaddy i had to pay $6.95 per transfer (with coupon code)
    If i use Name.com i have to pay $5.99
    The differece is $0.96

    Now 1200 names x $0.96 = $1152

When you transfer from domainsite.com to name.com usually take less days than usual and of course you have to pay transfer fee it doesn't have to do with the fact that both registrars belong to the same company
