nope, I've owned/have a few .com proxies and they are making around $5 a day with the same amount of traffic
My .info's are doing just fine. Their page rank is probably going to jump up to 2-3 next time google updates.
.info are for "timed" websites. You know, like a proxy site, Its popular until the school catches it, then you buy a new domain
I am using mostly .com domains, but also have a couple .info and onw .eu. Did not see any difference..only 2 of the .com are doing much better, but thats because I concentrate on these 2 sites and they are also the oldest ones. I don't think SEs make any difference between the domain extensions.
I have good ranking .info sites. If the site fits the extension I actually like using this extension. Google does not discriminate based on extension.
Google treats a .info domain extention the same as a .com. Proof: Just type "spain" in google and a .info ranks in the top two results:http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=spain
.info domains can be used to make money with Adsense. I know first hand, I own several .info domains. On one of these sites, I commonly see $1 clicks. What you need to do with these domains is show Google they're not spam by building some quality links. The only potential downfall I see with these is resale value. People tend to pay more for .com's and whatnot. However, if you try to sell a profitable .info, most won't care as long as it's making good money.
Extensions have no relationship with adsense or Google. You can earn and rank .info as good as .com domains.
I also use some info domains, and, so far, AdSense was happy about it. What you heard about .info, I heard about .biz
I am having a wildlifeworld.info site and blog. I am earning considerable amount thro' adsense. I think there is no problem...
