Anyone using .info domains with Adsense?

Discussion in 'AdSense' started by BOG, May 17, 2008.

It seems that Google would highly frown on .info domains because spammers use them.

Anyone here use them? I have stuck to .com, but am considering some .info domains because they only cost $1-$2 compared to $8.00+ for a .com

Anyone here have .info websites with Adsense on them? Any problems from Google?

I have domains that end in com., .org, .net and .info. There doesn't seem to be any difference between how they do with adsense, except for the actual content and niche these different domains are in.

I do try to get any new domains in the .com, then .net, then .org area, because I think that the visitor might appreciate those endings better. But I don't think Google cares as long as the content on the website has value.

Regards the cost of a domain - if you can't make a good profit with a .com domain, does it really matter if you save around $6 a year. Of course, if you are buying thousands of domains then it does add up!!!

I have a .info domain and it does ok for a new site. I havent noticed any difference from other domains. I agree that the most important factor is that the site contain useful unique content.

I use mostly .info's. I do not think it has anything wrong to do with Google. Google is smart enough to know quality content, from spam.

I bit the bullet and bought a few .info domains
and they are just pure and utter crap with adsense
I'm barely making 20cents per day from 30 clicks (proxy website)
when this with a .com it would be about $13

The domain extension has nothing to do with the earnings . Your URL reputations is the culprit !

Is it that uncommon for you to see Adsense on .info domains? I use Adsense on around 30 .info domains.

Personally I don't like the .info domains (because all spammers abusing them) but I've seen quite a few .info domains running AdSense.
You should be fine as far as your content is good and you build some quality backlinks.

I think it is not a big deal whether your domain is .info or .com. Anyway, seems .info is cheaper:)
