Hi, I heard that Google Base can help us to improve our site promotion. Can someone here share what can I do to do this? What should I put in there? How effective, etc? Many thanks in advance
yup, that's the link. I saw someone's using them and it's indexed on google pretty fast too. Anyone care to share your experience?
It's pretty useful. If you type in "Paris Trips" for example you'll notice a quick hit box either at the top or bottom that lets you drill down to Attractions, Dinigin Guides, Shopping, etc. That's what Google Base can do for you but it does depend on what industry your site is in as Google only supports a few industries as of now. Yes from experience I can say that it is useful for quick indexing of a new site. Plus it is a free backlink.
The only place that I heard of GoogleBase before besides Google help is as part of one of Louis Allports CD series. I think it's probably $9-15 for the CD. He describes Google Pagemaker, GoogleBase, and Google Alerts, and how to take advantage of them. In terms of anyone actaully using them, I rember within the last month some fairly recognized IM marketer showing his use of GoogleBase within his product. (Sorry I don't remember his name) .
Google Base is an online database provided by Google into which any user can add almost any type of content. A major component of Google Base is acting like a classified ads service, such as Craigslist. However it has also been used for such items as protein structures, current events, real estate, recipes, people profiles, and more.
I have been using google base for quite a long time in Vehicle Sections of G base. It is a sort of backlink and I get traffic from it as well.
