Hi, I have signed up with Epassporte for a virtual Visa Card and also an Electron Visa Card (for ATM's & Eftpos machines). I received the card yesterday with a letter. The letter gave instructions in how to activate the card and PIN number. Well! Straight away the card was blocked (for who knows what reason? I just put a PIN number in). So, I ring Epassporte (in USA) from home (I am in Australia). First phone call, 15 minutes. They tell me to log back in and re-activate the card (they said it was unblocked). I do this, only to find the card is blocked still. I ring them again. Another 15 minutes (mostly on hold). Eventually they said to ring the other number on the back of the card to unblock the card. I hang up. I ring the other number. After going through various rigmaroles, they say I should not have received the card so quickly. It should have taken 4-6 weeks from US to Australia. This knocked me for six. I am starting to think "what difference does that make to this problem?" Anyhow, they tell me I have rang the wrong number and should ring the other number. I was getting a bit huffed at this point. I explained it was them at the other number to ring this number. Then they said I was to receive a 5 digit ticket number and to check back in 3-5 business days to see how that ticket is going. Phone call duration 24 minutes. Then! I have received funds in my Epassporte acct that i can not use. I was referred to Epassporte by another DP member. What am I to think about this? Should I contact a lawyer? This is strange. I've been using my ePassporte Visa Electron Card for over a year now. So far I have not had any problems with it. I am not sure if it makes any difference but my card is a customized version from Digital River.
