Well, i have to take a new BSNL connection. So, i wanna know that does BSNL provides Modem for Broadband?? And how much it costs?? I am getting a new connection in just Rs.500 (US $ 10) And if the modem has to be installed, they will open the CPU of PC?? Or everything is external?? And also how much time it takes to get Broadband activated?
I used BSNL broadband in India for internet use. It is best one in india with speed of 2 MBPS. It cost to me per month is INR 250.00 including 1 GB download. It never closed down at any time. If you have query it will be solved within one day. So, keep only BSNL broadband for your purpose.
Modem Is External Item, They Will charge you Extra Amount For Modem See the Link http://www.bsnl.co.in/service/dataone_tariff.htm, There Are diffrent type of modems so depends on the type, i didnt took modem from Bsnl And Purchased A D-link One for 1600 INR, i feel thats better for me,
i m have two net connection. reliance data card and bsnl broadband unlimited connection. # there r two choice for modem. { on rent 100 rs. per month 1200 rs. for life time } # modem is external device which is connected with pc via usb and lan. but basicall all people conect it with lan for better performance. (me too ) # 500 rs. nigh unlimited plan is really good if u doing work in night. i m also start using net with this plan. # u have need to pay 250 rs. installation charge first time. so u have need to pay 1200 rs. cash for modem if u purchase modem, and the installation will be charge with your bill. thats all i think.
So, can get a modem on Rent of Rs.100/month also ??? ( for me this rent one would be good as i have to use it for just 3 months as after then i have to shift to another place) So i want to know the total cost which i will have to pay at the starting. I only know Rs.500 for a new connection. what charges other than that??
in the link provided it says 250 for installtion charges, Security Deposit of Modem (refundable) :500 INR , just for 3 months if you want you can shift it at new place too its your wish, as you would be shifting the landline too
if u want the connection as a demo or u have need to shift another place after a short time then the rent is the best option to use bsnl broadband. and if u want to use it for long time then purchase it. if u hire modem then no need to pay in advance. after 1 month your bill will be charge with 500 rs. for net + 250 rs. installation charge + 100 rs. modem rent + your telephone call charge + tax. (as i know ) Bhai if u have more question then better to condisdor with your nearest bsnl office.
No no.. i mean shifting means i will take my pc with me and at the new place i will have BSNL evdo to use internet so i won't need this modem or bsnl landline after 3 months. And i don't have to shift in one city. I have to shift from one to another city. Thanx... so i just need to pay Rs.500 for a new connection in the beginning??

they will ask you for security money also in first bill i was asked to deposit INR 1800 in addition to call chrges, brodband rent etc
One of my friend who took broadband recently told that i will have to pay Rs.3200 at starting.. Don't know how. I think he must have purchased the Modem.

I use BSNL Broadband and am under the &%) unlimited plan. The modem is external and its priced about Rs.1500. I guess the activation is also instant.
New modem price : - 1000 Rs If you rent modem then Rs 50/ month Coming to the speed........ 500 Plan has better speed and come with night unlimited downloading/surfing. It's best for you if you are online in the night only which I am sure is not true in your case, lol I found you online in the day time too which is obvious. Day time charges after 1 GB : 0.80 Rs/MB There is an unlimited plan too but speed is not good as 500 Plan.
