www.blogads.com Just wondering if anyone is using them and if so what your experience has been so far - i.e. are lots of advertisers advertising with the service/your blog. Thanks.
I am using Blogads, and have been attracting seven or eight ads a month of varying length on my blog. I have been very happy with the experience, and advertisers have been as well, as many have returned for more ads. Blogads is revamping their interface, and the revamped service will be much cleaner and easier to use than the current incarnation. Plus, the newly added mininetworks (my blog is in the music network) raise the visibility of many sites in the program.
Well, then, that makes it a matter of knowing how much the advertisers would be willing to pay. How did you decide on what rate to set?
At first, I looked at what similar blogs were charging, and set a similar CPM. After a while, I adjusted my rates as my traffic increased.
Isn't it 70%? As an update, I've been participating in BlogAds as both an advertiser and a publisher for a couple weeks. While it's still early (like 2 days in) I'm running a month long campaign across 21 blogs are looking promising. I haven't run any ads as publisher yet but am looking forward to it. I had a chance to speak with the owner/founder last week and get a lot of questions/concerns answered. Seems like a stand up company and service in my opinion. I realy like the fact you buy ads based on time, not impressions or clicks.
Blogads recently went to 70% when they instituted their referral program. Blogads is definitely a great company with integrity. They have always paid on time, and support is quick and sincere. The founder is one of the finest people I have met online, and is always willing to listen to his advertisers and publishers. I like the targeted aspect of Blogads, and have recommended the service to many advertisers, one of which is running the premium ad on my site currently (Holtzbrinck Publishers).
I haven't used Blogads as an advertiser, but have brought several publishing houses and music PR firms into the program as advertisers, and they have been very happy with the CPC they have received.
Nice contribution I've used BlogAds as a publisher for a couple of months now. Did pretty well over Christmas (as you'd expect) and looking at the stats I gave some advertisers a very low CPC. Has been a bit quiet this year so far, but it's January after all. I'll probably give them a go with me as an advertiser in the near future.
wow, I did not know my advice to stay with a tier one network was not helpful, what was your average epc? was it better than $.40, how long does it take to get paid? do they automatic draft etc.? that from you would be helpful WWW.seasickmedia.com
You never gave advice you just said what you did which wasn't what the poster was asking about. To me this looks like you are posting for the sake of post count or something. Why do you want answers to your last lot of questions if you are happy with your tier one.
