the only "problem" I know is the hits limit per hour. imo its not good for BIG site with hot linking.

p.s. if you need a coupon code, pm me I have it, you ( and me ) get more webspace.

    Hi Nightmare

I too am looking at hosting with servage.net and although I do not have any sites that would be as busy as yours I did ask them the following question based on your response here -

Question asked and their response -
Are your sites going over these limits? I am about to sign up with them and hence the post.

    thanks for any tips

You shouldn't really have much problem jumbo - i have a client who gets around the 400/450k a day hits and hasnt been throttled once - although, he did used to monitor it and let them know via email if he was heading over the 400k mark - if you go with them, use his cust code as a refferer and get yourself 5g extra disk space for life of the account CUST20255

.bmp - Thanks for that info. I don’t expect to hit that but its nice to clear it up.

I almost did not sign up with Servage.

In their product/plan info there is a big claim of FREE SETUP. However during signup it presented me with a £10'ish SETUP fee. This I felt was misleading and aborted signup.

I then sent them a stroppy email complaining about their misleading info and the hidden setup charge. Apparently the FREE SETUP is <b>ONLY FOR ANNUAL PLANS</b> This I felt was wrong as nowhere on their site do they mention that for 3 months and 6 months FREE SETUP is not applicable!

They then sent me a coupon which gave me a free setup and also said they would make it clearer on their site info about setup charge.

Hope this helps someone in the future.

    Cheers

It was a single use coupon - but try mailing them and ask them to waive the setup charge. Who knows it might work.

You cannot trust servage. They say 110 GB and give you less than 10%

I've been with Servage and they are horrible. I didn't even use 20% of my full hosting and they shut down my account because I was "using too much resources."

    Hi,
I have been with servage for few weeks now. I think they are one of the best hoting companies out there for the price and the quality of service..brandwidth and hits are a little problem if you have a big pictures webiste with high number of visitors but I could not find any other webhosting with the monthly brandwith and service.

You can use the coupon below to get more storage:

    servage.net

I would definitley recommend as they are better than my older hosting companies:

They are very good for that price !

On shared hosting you never can use the full capacity they offer... it's the same with servage.

The only disadvantage is that they are on a clustered server so they can't give you raw apache logfiles.

    Support is quite good.
