We'll see how it goes then...

I'm not going to go on about this... I just want the work done.

They seem to have a system where they post the forums in their own forum (judging by my logs) and whoever wants the job takes it.

I seem to have gotten lucky as there is a guy who likes posting about health subjects...It seems if you have a forum that is extremely popular (web related) or unpopular you aren't getting the same prompt service.

I don't think there are shills here as I aknow I'm not one.

That being said, I am not using him again until he acknowledges the communication problems and addresses them..Its a shame too because the quality is exactly what I had been looking for.

We have started posting on your forum we are over half way done and you are still complaining about the service, maybe you should get your facts straight before replying with such threads.

Morgan - You need to appreciate that you do not provide the posters names, therefore their is no way to tell if the service has started or not.

Maybe as part of the order process the buyer should supply the poster names?

Please don't get defensive...If you fix this issue you will see a lot more business and satisfied customers

Without hijacking this thread, I just wanted to point out that my particular service does not personally go by this method.
I do not have a "forum" where I hire and fire posters to post for my clients.
I have a very small team of people who I work with, and I know them personally (in real life) and they are trusted and intelligent posters.

I may only have 2 or 3 people working with me but we never have a problem providing good customer service and completing jobs to schedule.
Hopefully my customer testimonials prove this to be the case.

    Anyway, enough from me.
Back to the subject at hand :)

I will give Morgan a few days to get his act together but after that I will try yours as it has a similar ordering system (which I like)

    Cheers

Has anyone had any success with using these services, they seem to be getting a lot of negative press in the communities at the mo..

Where have they gotten negative press?

Paying posters has actually been around for as long as forums have been and I find are a great way to stimulate forums.

The fact that so many offer these services now goes to show their is a success rate. You do still need the basics though to keep a community going. These services are only a jumpstart.

I don't doubt your integrity at all. It was the short, language challenged, praise by peons that had me scratching my head.

Really, I didn't check into this service much, just tried the silver package on a whim. My existing threads in my quiet forum are probably a barrier if that's what they have to go on in their forum. My posts are pretty wordy and intellectualized for the subject. But I've been trying to establish a sort of base of principals, more of a content thing without really expecting a community. With working 10-12 hour days at the garden center It's pretty crazy for me to have built 25 websites in the past year...but the off season is almost here and I'll be able to really dig in again soon. So...maybe I'll take this as a lesson and take a shot at making the forum more accessible...but that would mean getting it out of drupal, and I just finishing dumping it out of phpBB since it looked silly with so few posts. Anyway, I always look for the lessons, and when I do seriously want to build a community I think I'll be more clued in.

But back on topic. I'm still in wait and see mode. Morgan has a bit of a language barrier. I hope his posters are more fluent than he is, or they will have no clue what I'm talking about. I was surprised to see that in a forum about the impressionist painter Monet they posted things about real estate, search engines and finance.

If you try their website, it says "This Account Has Been Suspended".

There has been a problem with some phpbb boards in which there have been an overload in bugs, bots viewing the forum.
This has overloaded the host in which they suspended the site, im working on getting it back up ASAP.

    Thanks

Okay i have finally gotten the site back up, this has been a real battle first my domains are stolen then someone hacks the site and deletes all files and databases.
Because of the person hacking the account the host suspended the account so they couldnt do any further damage, they then did not reply to any of my e-mails of support so i had to find a new host and setup the site again.

Should have everything back to normal in a day or two.

Thanks for everyone offering support, and ideas it is really appreciated and shows what a great community DP is.

Congratulations on getting the domain back up and running this can be hard for anyone.

Theres a few of us now running paidforum posts from looking around on the different forums. And the service is going to vary from everyone you try. At the moment there is a review going on of all the paid forum services, like mine and like morgans, im hoping when this review is posted on all major forums, we can then see who provides what people need example:
not to line our pockets but to give the customers the best service.
