Anyone used 2checkout?

I don't mind the $49 fee I just want to know if you can use it to sell without having a registered business, and if it's your name or a business name that shows up when someone goes to make a payment.

 

it can be personal or business name. if a customer purchases 2CHECKOUT.COM will appear in their credit card statement. Also if you apply for them, they do verify your business by calling your clients.

 

Yeah the calling your customers thing can be problematic and give you a bad name.

 

I use 2checkout on a few of my sites and I've had no problem so far.

 

But I can just have a person account and accept payments? But the customers would see my name instead of a business name?

 

They call your clients? How would they get that information to begin with, once someone makes a purchase using 2CO? Not that it matters, I'm just curious, as I doubt the clients themselves would have opted to be contacted by 2CO.

 

They wont do everytime and they randomly pick few clients while they make the merchant first time payment. Once you get verified thats it!
