What I mean by that is does anyone have an html page of their resume that they use to attract potential employers? If yes, what are the results? Please post links. I have just started to work on one, I thought it would be easier than emailing a document that may be incompatible with a recipients current version of said programs. Just curious if anyone has had success or if anyone had pointers. PM me if it is easier.
On my site I have resume, web portfolios, and other hobby stuff. I pulled it out when I already got the job (Web programmer). Cheers!
What I meant was, a professional resume, when you are looking for a new line of employment. Not necessarily your portfolio, but I guess that would be part of some resumes...
I used Monster.com and found it to work well. Potential employers are able to view your resume at any time (if you select that option). I also reccomend that you e-mail and/or fax your resume to the employers. It worked for me!
Basically you can either post your resume on resume posting websites or create a web page with your resume. Disadvantages are: - if you are currently working, you risk your current boss finding out you are looking for a job. - your personal information would be all over the world. A way around this is not disclose sensitive personal info. While potential employers may contact you directly, it's mainly recruiters who search for resumes online... etc.
