Well here are the screenshots from that 2nd server (72.232.43.130)with those 700+ accounts on it.

Now that server ain't really top notch ( old CPU with just 512 kb cache:eek: and just 1.5 GB RAM:eek:).

Also it isn't very used (just 30 GB space and 80 GB bandwidth this month) and it runs at ~2 server load.

All i can say is that when i was at numberonehost i had some problems, but since it's shoutserv i haven't had any, for me and some friends that have account here too always have worked fine, i have my site monitored with hosttracker and my uptime is 99,55% (since july) , not bad at all ,and most of the downtime was because a error i made when creating a htaccess ( a 500 error), sentest i think that's not a good idea to show your customer users and emails....

You're probably wrong as all redhat kernels follow a different numbering than kernel.org releases. RedHat kernel might have a low numbering than the latest but vulnerabilities are patched.

Oh I'm thinking of it wrong 2.6.9-42 fixed the major exploits, but I believe there were some released for it as well down the road. My mistake

Yes, maybe the -42 had several issues especially with IO and load.
    I'm using 2.6.9-55.0.2.EL - current latest for CentOS 4.5 ;)

You're hosting 700 accounts on 1 server eh?
That means.. each account has an average share of 0.14% of CPU resources..
    and you call that Quality?....???

I'm using it since a couple of months and it's going pretty good, but i think now it's going slower, @300~400KB/s, anyway considering i'm in Spain and the servers in the UK, it's pretty fast.

Seems like shoutserv.com doing very well with 700 sites hosted compared to all hosting companies from DP

It's been good advertising from shoutserv.com from this forums thread

Thanks all and good luck to shoutserv.com

Even though a lot of people complaints about their service but they do get more customers and make the most money from hosting compare to others

You know.. i have a feeling..
that all these newbies coming over and praising Shoutserv.com are 1 person with multiple accounts..
just an old trick to bring back some of the credibility they once had (IF)

so.. how about a moderator checking some IPs??? :D

Listen now, I'm using shoutserv, I'm not dummy member, and I can say one thing for sure :
    They have fast support
    They have great plans
They have fast servers (the alpha one is great)
My site was down only once, when they were moving from server.shoutserv.com to alpha.shoutserv.com server!
    They are a great host!
This is my honest opinion, you say what ever you wanna say.
I've been with them for 2 months so far, no problems.
