I heard Reddit is a good way to increase traffic to your site, but I haven't looked it up yet. Has anyone here used Reddit?
I'm a heavy redditor, moderator of multiple subreddits too. Reddit is indeed dofollow but only if your content receives sufficient upvotes. If it's crap and receives downvotes you don't deserve the follow tag for adding rubbish to the site. If you're goingto submit there, keep it quality. It's extremely important to spend some time lurking reddit, learning the community, learning how subreddits work, learning where your submissions should go and what types of submissions do best and so on. Also, don't spam. The unofficial rule is to keep a 10:1 ratio between submission of your own content and submission of other content. People WILL notice you and you WILL be reported within days of starting if you do. You won't notice you've been banned either as spammers are shadowbanned on reddit, the site appears and looks like it works normally to the spammer but their submissions and comments never show up, users have been known to use reddit for over a year after being shadowbanned, commenting and posting, shouting out into the void.
Yep .. It's not just a social bookmarking site but also a comment site. Better join the community. Do comment using your Facebook name.
I use it mainly for backlinks and I also see some traffic. it really depends on the niche. I didn't know it was a comment site - good thing I checked this thread out. I like stumbleupon and pinterest.
Reddit is a best social media and bookmarking that will give me tons of traffic and popularity. But LinkedIn is too good.

It only creates traffic if it's something the browsers would be interested in, a lot of them are like 4chan type people, so tailor your site for them.
Reddit is great for traffic but the community really make the site what it is. There are thousands of subreddits to be explored and Reddit can definitely keep a users attention for multiple days with ease. Submitting content that is irrelevant will eventually lead to your site(s) getting blacklisted from certain subreddits and your account banned.
