I am interested in setting up an PHPList autoresponder function on my Yahoo hosting account. Not sure if it works with Yahoo hosting or not. Does anyone have experience with this?
Just received this from Yahoo Support - These guys Rock. Thank you for writing to Yahoo! Web Hosting. I understand that you would like to configure a PHP based software phpList in your Yahoo! hosted account. Tony, Yahoo! Web Hosting Starter, Standard, and Professional accounts have access to PHP and MySQL, for building database-driven sites. In order to assist you I have checked the server requirements for the phpList software and the details of it are as follows : * GNU / Linux Server --> Yahoo! Servers are Free BSD based Unix server * Apache Webserver --> Apache version 1.3.33 * PHP version 4.3.x (or higher) --> Yahoo! supports PHP Version 4.3.11 * Mysql database server --> Yahoo! supports MySQL 4.1.12 with phpMyAdmin 2.6.3 for managing the MySQL database * "safe mode" --> "safe mode" in PHP is off at Yahoo! server Hence you can easily configure it in your Yahoo! hosted account. I wasn't expecting that kind of support! It took some digging on their part - great job Yahoo Support!
