i never heard that. do they give domain EPP code to transfer out if their host is not good ?

make sure u have control over the domain or else you may land up in wasting time on domain/ site promotion

from what i've heard about hyperwebenable i wouldnt recomend it - the terms and conditions aren't great, they can cancel your site at any time.

a good alternative is FreeDomainsForBloggers.com, they only put one ad on your site (after the first 2 months) and they don't cancel your domain if you dont meet the terms and conditions - they just don't renew it at the end of the year.

There is a large number of hosting services that offer you free domain names and common catches are:

You need to signup at least for a yearly hostiing plan.
Domain is registered on your behalf but may or may not be registered under your name.
You can't access any type of domain control panel to modify its settings.
    You can't transfer it away.
In very few cases you are allowed to pay $15+ for it (and its full control) in the eventuality you cancel the hosting account.
