Dwolla is a great service that is cheaper than paypal or any other service. The state of Iowa allows people and companies to pay taxes, renew licenses, and more using Dwolla (cost is 30 cents per transaction, whereas to use anything else is more costly). Do check out Dwolla here: https://www.dwolla.com/
This payment process made by the same guy who build twitter (I guess). And it's only works in Canada and USA only.
I've looked into this before and it is for US only at the moment. Additionally, the current user baser is relatively small, ~250K users in the US exclusively. I don't think the payment method has matured enough for much mass appeal, at least that's we felt about implementing it. Thanks.
State of Iowa and a lot of county/city agencies use it. Cheaper than using debit cards, credit cards and checks to pay taxes, etc.
