I would reccomend to NEVER use Bidvertiser... sucks bad.

As for Adengage, if you get enough visitors/clicks then it profitable, but the pay rate is not that good (I made around $10 in a MONTH).

I was thinking of using adengage from an advertiser standpoint. Has anyone had success with that?

Adengage update the account stats periodically so dont expect stats to appear straight away, but they will so be patient.

All of their ads pay 75% commission so yes their network ads pay.

CBT the new network we are launching in June (AdToll) is of a similar nature and we do banner ads as well yes. www.adtoll.com

i've been advertising through adbrite, adengage and etology for the past year. and i've been advertising through bidvertiser for about 6 months. i've just dropped my adengage and etology network campaigns completely because of low quality traffic (majority porn), and most likely i'm going to drop bidvertiser as well. if you have a lot of time to wade through the sites, you can try adengage or etology, but a majority of their sites are porn, or adult-related content. but some of their sites have the potential to convert. bidvertiser is very low quality as well, since they have very low quality sites, and very few decent quality sites...and their system for placing ads is the worst of all of the networks.

your best bet for higher quality traffic (of these networks) is probably adbrite. in addition, adbrite is the only network of all of them that provides a pretty accurate conversion tracking pixel (you can see the stats for comparison in their dashboard), country-specific geo-targeting, and individual sites can be removed from the network ads (unlike both etology and adengage). overall, they just have a bigger team. just be warned that adbrite's recently been plagued with an enormous influx of fraud sites, so if you see clicks that look fraudulent, pause the sites and contact your rep. they're working on the problem, so i've been told this morning. anyway, etology supposedly has a conversion tracking system for their regular network ads, but it's full of bugs and you can't view conversion stats on the user end (for comparison, like adbrite). i was their beta tester for their *new* Campaign Manager as well, and it didn't work either. but they did refund my money upon request :)

    CMON AUSSSSIEEE!!!!

Seriously it will be good to see a well positioned ad network based and run outside of Australia. One of our motives for creating AdToll was that fact coupled with a few other reasons like poor service. We rate service as the highest priority when running such a network because time is money and advertisers/publishers want results fast! The last thing they want to do is wait for a response for days on end to a simple question.

Sorry I got off topic a little there but I think its important that people value service when assessing such ad networks.

I have emailed Adengage in the past and its usually taken 24-48 hours to get a response which isn't bad but lets be honest, in a real-time, interactive world, its not good enough.

In saying that I do think Adengage have a great service which works and works well. Its a matter of assessing each ad network to see what works for you. Perhaps try a split test... serve 50% of your users ads from one network and 50% from another and compare the results.

i stoped using adengage the first few days where great but then the price per click went way down. adbrite seems to pay allot more but adengage image text links get quite a few more clicks which makes up some of the price difference.

ndreamer: Adengage pay 75% commission so I dont see how the price per click can reduce that much. The only way they can reduce is because the advertiser has purchased more clicks so they buy them cheaper. You make 75% of what the advertiser pays at Adengage. If you felt you were being hard done by you should have emailed them and explained the situation.

darkwebmaster: Give it a go mate! You will only know once you try!

I am using Adengage for one of my site and earning around US$30 to US$50 per month. Their payment is prompt and pays through cheque. My site have good traffic around 2500 to 3000 unique visitors daily :).

Bidvertiser is just awful in every market I can think of, I would say stay away from them regardless of what industry you're in. Adengage is mixed results, worth a try at the least.

I just started using edengage on a few of my site directories. the jury's still out but some of my other ads get quite a few clicks so I'm making $$$ on the backend with no problem. Also good is that they pay out thru Paypal.

They are paying in a mix mode CPC/Bid.
    - You can set the amount one advertiver must pay to run their ads on your site for a period (from 1 day to 1 month). This is the Bid mode.
    - You can have several ads on same page. The ads not filled with Bid ads, are filled with CPC ads from their "Run Of Network" Ads.
    - One click on CPC ad is paid aprox at 4 cents.

And they can pay via PayPal :)
