Greetings, I've just signed up with Umax PPC Search Engine . Has anyone had experience with this service already? They seem to have good rates. Are there better services? I'm completely new to ppc search engines. Thanks in advance
Nice slip of the referer url in there Dont try to hide the referer URL please.. that just seems really shady to me I have never heard of them, but I will sign up and try them out UPDATE: First impression, this company doesn't look very professional. The signup form doesn't ask for your address, phone number, or anything. But it does REQUIRE you to enter your ICQ number. Lots of people I know dont even have ICQ. I dont think this company will last.. UPDATE 2: Well.. Im not sure how trustowrthy this company is, they have a PR of 0, and my first name wasn't even taken.. thus, they dont have many users. Josh
Dear friend, my aim was not to cheat anyone! registering through a referer doesn't waste your time nor your money so I can't understand why you wouldn't register helping someone who could have pointed you towards a good service. Anyway, I think your judgements are too fast...I'll give it a try...
Thats true, I have no problem with referal links, its just when people try to hide it in using the URl tag... I.e. if you posted "You can sign up here: umaxlogin.com/user_signup.php?referer=Josh (or umaxlogin.com/user_signup.php if you dont wish to use my referal link)" I wouldn't have a problem And yes, I am giving them a shot.. I put it up on one of my websites, they seem to have farily decent rates.. about 48 cents a click for me so far Oh, and if anyone is interested, you can see it on my site: www.ki4bbo.org Josh
Ok mate. 48 cent a click?? what keyword do you use??? The max I could get was 16 ! anyway are there any other similar (better) service?? I'm waiting for them to provide me with their xml feeds to merge the results in my search pages. I hope to have better results with it.I'll let you know....
I believe that posting the affiliate link is actually against the forum rules? http://forums.digitalpoint.com/faq.php?faq=dp_faq#faq_posting_guidelines I guess it is subjective as to what spam is?
oh btw, I saw targetpoint ads on your website, how is it going for you? I tried them for a bit but I got little revenue...
They are working Ok.. bout 38 cents a click on average, but I dont have the best CTR... so Im only making a buck or two a day. Josh
So how many clicks do you get from Umax? I have recently joined a second tier PPC search engine, but the amount of traffic just really isn't worth the effort.
I stopped using them.. didn't pay me, and reset my earnings every month. Support was virtually non-existant, just overall a poor company. Josh
