    Hi Guys,

One of you tried regnow as an affiliate for advertisers. I am thinking to joining then to attract affiliates and promote our software's.

Any feedback would be highly appreciated.

    Thanks

I tried it... you need to have a very targeted audience if you want tot have any success. Good network and they do pay on time.

For publisher's, RegNow is probably the best program out there with 1000's of active affiliates but for affiliates it is a terrible program as are most shareware affiliate programs. How many non-shareware programs ie. CJ or SS allow vendors to not use the program's tracking system thus ensuring unsuspecting affiliates have no chance of earning commisions for referrals?

If you decide to go with RegNow, from an affiliates point of view of which I am with 4 shareware sites, I would recommend that you use their certification program to get your product certified as most affiliates worth anything in RegNow will only actively promote products that give them a chance of actually getting credit for referrals.

Digital River is one of my clients through PartnerCentric.

We recently launched an NEW IMPROVED Affiliate Network for them called OneNetwork.

I never worked with the old RegNow program and am not sure what the difference is but I believe OneNetwork is where they are putting most of their focus now.

Digital River bought RegNow and several other shareware affiliate programs including Share-It if I remember correctly and is moving to monopolize the industry. The current Digital River program you linked to uses RegNow for their datafeed, which by the way is the worst I have ever seen and is pretty much useless. The Regnow program is still alive and well and operates on some levels apart from Digital River but as you mentioned they seem to have stopped focusing alot of their efforts towards RegNow. The forum is basically dead and even when posting questions it takes 4-5 days for RegNow to moderate and their support personel rarely if ever respond to questions

Thanks teamshop for your input and feedback. really our software converts well from our end, but we have always wondered if it is worth joining an affiliate network. I do know for a fact that affiliates who actually can make you money have become more and more carfull about fraud.

I know a friend of mine who is a super affiliate ( have great traffic ) had an affiliate for somebody through regnow but he had to cancel it becuase he told me that there has been fraud and he has not been credited fully for his refferals.

Words on the street that there is a system/loophole floating around that can cheat the system and not fully credit the affiliates for its refferals. Maybe some DP members can confirm that

Digital River is moving their new network "OneNetwork" onto the DirectTrack platform. I don't know if there are any other special features they are adding.

The rest of their differentiation will be their network of affiliates, marketing support, other added-value services.

I've been happy selling PC Property Manager through them. The only affiliate tool I've used so I can't compare them to other systems :)
