Anyone tried Joost?

    I just got a beta version of Joost and I've gotta say I'm pretty impressed. It even works pretty well on my crappy 1500k ADSL connection.
    Anyone else tried it?

    I've been seeing free Joost invites here on DP. Not too sure exactly what Joost is or the benefits. Can someone please explain???

    Joost send TV over the internet and they earn money the same way as usual TV. They show you ads.

    It is P2P based so when you use it you also help send it out .

    Pretty much anything is better than free to air Australian TV. :eek:

    Joost is kinda like cable/pay TV, but you can select what you want to watch, and when. The GUI works well when you're actually watching it on a TV, and you can pause, fast fwd, and rewind whatever you're watching. It's nothing really new, it's just nicely done.

    That sounds pretty interesting. But I believe you need an invite in order to join is that correct? If anyone has an available invite I would be willing to accept it with open arms :D

    Do they show you ads before you watch your program? or do they flash ads on the bottom of the screen?
    I'm curious of the revenue model they have in place. I'd also love an invite if someone has an extra.
