I decided to spring for the $20 for 2000 unique visitors from www.handytraffic.com. They supposidly aggregate lost and expired URL traffic - then funnel to you based on your needs. I am trying to et more visitors in the travel dating space for www.edatetravel.com in the area of single travel or people finding a travel companion.
I have never tried it but I would be interested to know how it worked for you. Have you been able to see any traffic results so far?
Nothing yet - they tell me they have reviewed the site and should see the campaign start within 24 hours. Should be interesting. I was running PPC with up to a 34% conversion rate some days. I am in the midst of redoing everything with a view to some stickyness for a change
Unless you are using a PPC system to gain the traffic, buying traffic is all but useless. You are better off selling your blood and getting drunk with the money....
I am a learn by doing kind of person - and $20 is a reasonable gamble. I'll keep you posted so you can say 'I told you so'.
Damn, I should have read this closer, lesson learned, make sure you give the blood BEFORE getting drunk... haha
I've been marketing online for 7 years and everytime someone asks this question in cringe. I've tried them numerous times and everytime its been a big failure, no matter how good they make it look. A lot of people see numbers like well, if i get 50.000 visitors and only 1% buy a $37 product, thats still a lot of profit for me. In reality, u'd be lucky to make 1 sale with most guaranteed traffic services
In my opinion, if the traffic sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Most likely is that it's not very targeted and is probably a pop-under or something to that effect. It's only $20, so you can give it a try... you can expect to see hits, but I wouldn't expect any action from those visitors. One thing that it might be good for is trying to increase your Alexa traffic stats, but that's about it.
Day 5 of my $20 experiment. Targeted traffic - I don't think so. So far I have 103 visits - and 1 signup on a free service! Hmmm. I've run PPC and received 17 to 35% conversion rates on $0.10 clicks. Obviously this doesn't work but the $20 was an experiment to see if it works - I was prepared to dust thousands if it worked. I have got 1897 visitors to go before its over.
I don't know what this post is all about - let's be clear - I run an online dating company combined with ringtones and getting into online poker. Yes - guys like Virgin and Club Med want to know where traveling consumers are so they give free trips to us. Reality wise guys - all efforts combined is a multi billion per year market. My PPC campaigns have driven revenue from $2K to over $10K per day on a net return of 50%. I can get between 15 to 34% conversions on my ppc stuff. The trageted traffic so far doesn' work. I could probabily buy the traffic - but this organic stuff facinates me as a hobby - and I have to figure it out! I've been watching the posts on this forum for a long time - and have been sing digitalpoint since 2003! I figure I may be able to figure this out with all the brains here - or find one or two of the best to employ on an ongoing basis. Enjoy
You should have checked them out before you used them....A quick look on google would take you to a post about this site which dosent look so good. Goodluck anyway
I have read on different forums, that website is not good. A few people order on this other forum and they were not happy about it.
I tried the $20 [2,000 visitors] package from handytraffic and was not satisfied. I did see an increase of roughly 2000 visitors to my site. But it didn’t lead to any sales. I doubt I’ll ever use any delivered traffic service ever again.
Thanks for all your input - I simple don't have to time to check all these guys out - oops!!! There are probabily lots of folks like me that spend $20 (cheaper than a day in LA with my girlfriend!!!! ) - heck my partner who is really frugal wanted to jump wanted to go for $500.00 since he is bringing in a wholesale travel partner for single travel.
$20 is nothing and obviously its not a big risk you took but you could of brought a few beers and some weed and enjoyed yourself rather then crap traffic
Guaranteed bulk style traffic is risky, is next to worthless but if used correctly can be somewhat effective. I do buy bulk traffic monthly, my thought is even if only 1 out of 1000 of these visitors decides to book mark my site it's well worth it in the long run. I however am not paying anywhere near $10 per 1,000 that's a bit different story. Of course it's not going to convert great or immediately, if used in conjunction with other methods though I personally have watched it work at least somewhat effectively. At the end it's a deduction and does bring in a few more sales, and regular visitors to my sites.
Thought i would just point out that the few users here that think its worthwhile, cause if even a few people add them to favourites it was worth it. I dont even think it is humans ! The reason i say this is my business has live help, and with live help i get all users ips and i can geographically press a buttom and go on the same webpage as they are looking on my site. Now before i started serious advertising, i thought what the hell and purchased 10,000 supposedly unique customers to visit my site. Now unlike when i have a ' real ' customer on my site, i can geographcally go to where they are on website, with all 10,000 visitors i could not do this once, which is incorrect. Not to mention my targeted traffic was for one certain country, well i could see where each of those 10,000 ips were coming from, and they were everywhere, Africa, Australia, US, UK, Spain, you name it, it was there. As you guys it was worth a shot to see how it goes, but now i basically know 100% it isnt actual humans, i wont be messing with those things again.
You probabily spent more than $20!!! I am just gearing up for some serious advertising. I always like to experiment with new things. Remember when PPC first came out and the $.01 clicks!!!!! If you hear about anything interesting let me know. I'd be interested in seeing your website.
