Has anyone here tried any real-life marketing for CB products, eg distributing flyers, posters etc around town? Any success with this? I was thinking of advertising some weight loss products with photocopied flyers...
Just make sure the products you're marketing aren't complete bull shit. Thats probably the reason why it's not done lol.
I've done this a bit about two years ago, then I got too old for it. Biggest tip I can share: Make sure you have atleast 1-2 friends co-operating before you try. Doing this alone will make you insane. If you're trying this in a big way, make a separate CB account so you and your friends can split those profits, soon enough you'll even stop caring about your share of the money and just the fun you'll have. That's just it with offline marketing for CB-the fun of it. Otherwise, stick to the usual online tactics. And as for flyers-unless you can approach a really targeted venue, like an investment class for forex or energy products at a hardware store, don't bother with those. Noticeboards work better, like in cybercafes, supermarkets or wherever people go for information in general.
I think this can be real only with high quality products... There isn't lot of high quality products in CB MarketPlace
I've wanted to try this, however, I live in a fairly poor country where noone buys stuff from the internet, thus, this won't work where I live. If I was in a country where people have the habit of buying stuff online, like the US, UK, AU or other countries, I would register a domain and link it to my hoplink, that way I can just make flyers and post the domain name there. I'd make a huge call of action on the fliers and make it a bit flashy, so that it draws out attention. As far as the product is concerned, I'd choose a product that appeals to the largest audience. A good example of such product is 'Sattelite Tv for PC' , so you won't really have to target anyone, because this kind of product appeals to everyone. I'll put the fliers in places where there's a lot of frequency of people, like colleges, internet caffes etc..
I am in the same boat as ripped. People in my country hardly buy online, newspapers and radios is the go here. I mean if I want to, I can register the domain names of the every single member of all the political parties here and even the political party that is in power and the opposition parties, they do not even have a website! But back on track, a few years ago when dayjobkiller came out I implimemted newspaper ad tactic and it worked. I got a few sales.
Wow this is an amazing idea. If you lived in a city like New York and you got a crew with 20 members that would distribute flyers all over the city for a product like weight loss you could earn thousands! Too bad i live in Ukraine at the moment where only every 7th person has internet access and buying online is yet unknown here.
