Has anyone tried these using adwords. If so how much did it cost approx and was it better than or worse than pay per click ads for your business/website.

It was worse, and it hard to track conversions and associate an ROI with the spend.

Far far worse. Old school marketing like is known for not allowing you to calculate a direct roi from it. That's why they can charge the ridiculous prices they do in some newspapers or magazines.

PPC Coach and robert - you guys have used Google's television product?

In terms of "old school marketing not being known for allowing roi tracking"...I'd have to disagree. Direct marketing (ie print) is extremely track-able when done right, the cycle is just much longer when compared to online initiatives.

I actually had a fairly easy time tracking print, and that was before the current print interface existed. Unique URL was the ticket. When did you test radio? They have a ways to go but have made a ton of progress over the past few months. Their TV product has a ways to go before it's ready from prime time imo.

I agree unique URL is the way to go with print, but many clients have frowned upon that method due to branding issues.

I tested radio several times over the past year. The only way to track is with call tracking and unique URL's. Main problem with radio is the ad spots are just surplus so you cant get much prime time.
