I am having few websites and planning to sell them quickly as I am planning to get some money for my current project initiative. I had listed few sites in DigitalPoint forum. But I didn't get any reasonable bids. I don't want to use Flippa, because their Fees is high comparing to the price of these sites. Shall I try using Google Adwords for selling websites? In this case how to choose keywords? Anyone tried this? Did you find any success?
I consulted on over 5000 AdWords account while working on the AdWords Support Team and I never came across 1 that was selling the site it was advertising, but I see no reason it would not work. I would try specific keywords like "website for sale" or "buy a website" and send them to the website you are selling. I also suggest monitoring those ads closely as it seems you might get a lot of clicks of people who are just curious. You might also include some kind of price range so you do not get a lot of clicks from people who have no idea what to expect. I have know experience with selling websites so these are just my thoughts, as I find it interesting.
You could also try to feature the sale under keywords related to the site. I have heard of a guy who sold his house by making a website for it and listing it under searches related to the city he lived in. You probably know of some cheap keywords in your niche(s).
You can definitely sell your website using Google AdWords. You should only target the highly relevant keywords and that too in your location, if you want to sell it into a particular city.
First, I think you should create a keyword pool according to what you want to sell. And then, use Google Adword to test the competition and monthly research. I recommend you choose the word with medium competition and enough monthly research.
If your site is good site, generating revenue then Flippa is the best place and it is worth paying the fees as well.
yes, why not you can sell sites? Many known people are selling webistes but they are providing service of creating new webistes and to re-modify websites
