It seems most of the discussions are related to AdSense for Content.
I would like to know whether anyone ever tried AdSense with Google Custom Search Engine (CSE) for earning money.

Whether it will be worth spending time with CSE?
Right now, I am working on creating a Job Search engine using CSE by putting lot of efforts and Time by hoping that I can earn from Adsense ads shown in the Search Results.
Will Google take major part of the revenue from CSE ads.?
In AdSense Report, I am seeing some impressions and few clicks for search ads, but it is not showing any revenue.

I've used the CSE in the past and made a little money. It seemed to me like the amount I earn per click was nearly the same as with AdSense for Content.

@Michael Happy to know that CSE ads are earning same as adsense for content.
I will focus more on tuning my Job Search engine further to make money from it.

You are saying that you used in the past. why you are not using it now if it earns good?

I too use adsense Search and replaced it with default theme search... But it does not add much to my adsense earnings

    Hello,
I've been running it on one of my sites for a few days. I don't have AdSense for Search for my site, so all the clicks for the custom search engine are listed under AdSense for Search in my reports.
With the caveat that three days data is probably indicative of nothing significant, about 8% of my site visitors use the custom search engine and about 8% of them click an ad. I'm sure many of my site's visitors haven't quite figured out what it is yet.

I know my site doesn't cover the total breadth of its subject matter. Let's just say no site ever will, it's a pretty large subject. My custom search engine is set up so my site's visitors can find information from other sites on this subject. I'm liking it for my own research. It's a service for my site visitors first, and if puts a few dollars in my pocket in the process, that's cool beans. Have a nice day.

    Thanks ! :)
