I think I will start with this kind of business. Buy domains and sell them. Anyone that have some experience?

There are still big money in the game, but you have to find the right domain, and the right buyer. You can look for example to Sedo.com, to see some domains that are selling in the last few days. You can look at Digital Point's threads "Buy, Sell, Trade" forum.

How big is big? I've had a few domain investments turn out nicely, but not enough to earn a living out of.

The more you buy, the more you make. Look for domain names that sound similar to new products that come out.

Think 6 figure budgets. That will give you an idea. Domain names are a tough business to make a living in. The market is so saturated, almost like hosting. It's possible, but difficult.
Good luck on your new venture.

I've heard a bit about the domain game, but I don't know much about it. From the post made by Caveman I'd assume it is not worth the time going into, though.

I think it is with anything... If you are looking to make a fast buck than it is not a good venture. If you are patient enough it could make some extra money but not from the perspective of it becoming a career choice.
