Hey, I've been studying SEO and I keep hearing of something called the google sandbox, anyone out there know anything about this? ...and should I worry? Cheers, Dave.
Dave, I think this is the wrong place to ask this question. The "Sandbox" is a search engine topic, not an affiliate topic. The sandbox is basically a timeout penalty box for bad boys. Your site and pages are indexed, but they are not going to show up in the SERPs. Generally speaking, Google puts you in the sandbox if you are caught trying to game the system. db
I find it to be a real shame about the confusion around the Web as to what the term "sandbox" means. Google, of course, would not admit to it and I do not blame them. But there are so many different definitions of what defines a site to be sandboxed.
well the answer is when google finds some irregularity in your site and stops giving your site any value .. and offcourse your site is vanished from the keywords for which it was ranking for earlier ..
Stop gaming the system of how search engines value your site, do anything just natural way and you won't get penalized.
For example if you build 1,000 links o your site in 1 day..or did something that looked unnatural then google would penalize your site by temporary removing it..
sandbox it's probably happen to a brand new website for a little time and then your site appear in the search results and in some cases websites get "sandboxed" because a bad behavior and trying to cheat the search engine system.. ,,, that's my opinion and my experiment with google search engine sandbox i hope this info help u...
Sandbox can be happened for domains which are trying to use of blackhat seo techniques to promote their website's ranking in search engines. One of the easiest ways that causes sandbox is making backlinks fast. I think its the most important reason for it .
its like sailing into the Bermuda triangle, you're wiped clean off the map, all the hard work down the drain. You cry and then beg and then pray. So for god sakes don't do anything scpammy!
Coffee still steaming on the table, but nobody home... all that was left was a lonesome website with no visitors. So long as you stick with white hat you'll be fine build up your links nie and steady - softy sofly catchee monkey. Dave.
Your site is not yet trusted by Google or you have been sandboxed due to naughty activity, aka blackhat SEO. Usually a new site stays in the sandbox for the first few months, unless you do good organic link building. Slow and steady wins the race.
It is the punishment from Google to those webmaster who tries to cheat system and does not follow guidelines.
It is mostly for new website, if the website doesn't qualify the quality that it should have to follow the algorithm of Google, so Google keeps these websites in sendbox for some months so that website should be given time to improve it.
hi all my friends.the Google Sandbox effect is an alleged restriction placed on new websites. The result is that a new site does not receive good rankings for its most important keywords and keyword phrases for few months. Even with good content. a many inbound links, a new website may still adversely affected by the Sandbox effect. The Google Sandbox acts as a probation for new sites, probably to discourage spam sites from rising quickly, getting banned, and repeating the process. Thus the Google Sandbox is very similar to a new website being placed on probation whose rank is kept lower than expected in searches, prior to being given full value for its inbound links and content.thats why the google created the sandbox.i hope u understand that what is the sandbox.
Think of a sandbox of something that allows you to try stuff without it affecting anything. Google places you in this when you first start out as its likely that you'll be changing your website lots and lots. Also this helps to stop link farms.
