I am using Windows 2000, XP, Vista, Server 2003, Server 2008, Windows 7 developer, Mac OSX 10.4, 10.5, 10.6, and a few different distros of Linux (Red Hat, Fedora, Ubuntu, Linspire). I am also running 380 machines at the moment, so maybe I don't count on this query as I am definitely an outlier. I expect a ton of people are still on XP as Vista got a lot of bad press at release.
Yeah, I can't stand that Vista asks me if I am sure I want to do things before it actually does them.
I am still using XP also, and I agree totally with Gazelle, it makes me mad too, everything you do it asks you if your sure, sooo annoying!!!
I am still using Windows XP. It is very user friendly. Windows XP gives you the freedom to do what you want at home and at work—simply, reliably, and more secure. ------------------------------------ Bindu Jaisankar
I still prefer XP, because being a student of technical field, requires a lot of softwares to work properly and heard that many of the softwares show incompatibility with Vista...
I still have an old, worn down, 2003 desktop somewhere about. Thank you for reminding me - I nearly forgot about it!
I am using Ubuntu Is the perfect OS for me Well, I have WinXP on VirtualBox for my mom, but it rarely gets opened.
I'm using Windows Vista on my laptop computer but i still "have" to use Xp on my desktop computer JUST because it's not powerful enought to run Vista..
I am still using XP. I used vista for sometime, which was programmed when i was purchasing my laptop but i dint like it and asked to switch back to XP with which i am very comfortable. I hear that vista is good for professionals but i dint like it, it was quite complicated and i could not find it user friendly.
I got a new computer from Dell but requested XP because I have heard too many bad things about Vista. Also many had to get new printers after installing vista and I like my all in one printer so didn't want it for that reason as well. www.best2workathome.com www.livetotalwellness.com/teacher
