Anyone still using XP?

I m using Vista, but it eats up mad ram!, I think XP is way better... Yo Ubuntu's cool too

 

I use xp for development of applications using vs2003

 

Vista hasn't worked smoothly for me. Takes up a lot of resources from the system.

 

I'm still using XP. I just can't get over how many bad reviews I've read on DP about Vista. I take it this forum is a fair representation of PC users in general, so problems with Vista must be really widespread. I wonder why Microsoft doesn't get it and fix that crappy platform.

I wouldn't think that at all, actually. I'd think it's perhaps some sort of fair representation of the most computer-literate 0.1% of computer users.

Yes, I think so. Much, much, much more widespread than you'd think from reading here, surely.

I'm <still> using XP, myself.

I remember the day XP came out. Not even gaming PCs from cafes ran past 1GHz, so using XP would've been tricky. But hardware caught up with software and people started updating. This is bound to happen with Vista as well, but until then, I won't spend more money on a PC just so I can run some bugged OS that doesn't even support my drivers, let alone my apps.

 

Yes i am still using XP . They are important.

 

I have noticed that we are still using Windows XP at work, with the occasional Vista laptop popping up here and there.

i m using xp its the best of which i have used ,if i use vista i will hit my head to the screen and get a new laptop from insurance with xp

 

Yep still using Windows XP and will keep using it for quite a while. Will give Vista a miss and see if the next version of windows is any improvement.

Im using XP i cant stand Vista makes XP errors look like a little ripple and vista is like a tsunami...

 

Using XP on my Desktop PC, Vista on my laptop. Both goes great for me.
