Ok, I don't know where you got your stats from, but I believe it's still about 85% of the marketshare goes to IE, but dropping while Firefox is still on the rise. I use and love Firefox, but unfortunately, because most people still do use IE, I have to test sites in IE as well, but that's about the extent of my IE use.
Actually my stats were over the last week in Feb. It was a little more then average but still thought that was neat.
I havent used IE willingly in 5 years. I converted to Mozilla and then Firefox long ago. To be honest, I miss the old Netscape Navigator. Even then.. IE still sucked.
I currently use IE7. It gives me no problems, and the speed is sufficient for my needs. Since I generally work with websites, I tend to spend most of my browser time researching the topic, which doesnt take long, and the rest, building them.
Were these stats from your web site or from a media group publishing the internet stats? I can understand that the demographic of your site might be more FF based (which is awesome BTW) but on a larger scale, over the internet in general I believe it's still mostly IE.
Yes for the sake of testing i use IE... and the time of Firefox up gradation or plugin download & install i use IE ... can say 0.01 % times i use IE
I just upgraded to IE7. It's faster than IE6 and have other abilities. For some reason don't use FF so much, very rarely.
Yes, there are tabs which is really good thing. I don't care about any rip-off as long as it working good So far I am happy.
I use IE because Firefox messes up quite a few betting sites I use. Tbh I think they just expect everyone to be using IE still. I've used Firefox a few times but don't really see the great fascination?
Well, maybe it's too late to post something serious on this thread, but I'd like to remember that most of the statistics are a bit wrong because there are some plugin that fake identities of FF users. Opera, for example, is set to be recognized as Internet Explorer. I forgot the name of the plugins that allow FF to be recognized as IE. It's not something dumb, especially when you have coders that make sites IE only just because they are lazy (I saw lots of W3 compliant site works only for IE because the programmers where lazy or someone told them to do so)
