Not that one. It is older than most of the people on this forum and it was lame to start with. Let it rest in peace, in the name of all that's holy
I try to use the best of all three worlds. I have all three installed all the time. My only regret is that I have to use three different programs instead of one. When I want the fastest loading time for a page, I use Opera When I want the nicest look of the page, I use IE. When I want to learn to see the DOM structure and to debug JavaScript, I use FireFox. At least on my computer, even Google Page does not look as nice in FireFox / Opera as it does in IE. In addition, FireFox takes longer to start than IE6.The IE6's buttons / menu are nicer / easier to use for me, compared to FireFox’s.I should also mention that in Windows IE is integrated in Explorer, so I can type an Internet address directly in Explorer. I could not manage so far to launch FireFox or Opera in this way. I miss in IE the Num + key behavior that FireFox has. In addition, FireFox / Opera can remember my password in a way that IE cannot (for a page / for the entire site / so on) and have better download indicators than IE.
am using ie6, mozila firefox, and the opera. still am with all three, the tabs helps in firefox, on pictures filled pages opera works a lot better. ie works when nothing other works. certain sites, which are full of special effects, i use ie, because they are not optimised for the other browers. my favorite is opera, simply because it looks cool.
I love IE but our company is "forcing" us to us Firefox so I have no choice... Firefox is good though.
I used Netscape when I first started using the internet but have switched to IE since 1996. IMO IE will always be more popular than other browsers as long as it came with Windows.
There is a common misconception about Firefox and that is that it has less vulnerability issues that IE. In fact, Firefox has been successful at ther PR compaign in trying to convince the world that their browser solved all the problems other browsers had, especially IE. Me, personally, I used firefox for a while but switched back to IE 7.0. What I don't like from IE 7.0 though is that the window is cluttered with buttons and that all the menus have disappeared. Ok I have few add-ons installed such as Roboform and the ubiquitous yahoo and google toolbars, but I still miss the menus. Does Firefox have the phishing site warning, as IE has?
using FF gives you more control over your internet experience. i use IE to make sure what i'm working on looks good and is functional, then i shut it off and return to my default browser, which is FF
oo yes ... i use IE < never bother with Firefox ... i just use it to see that my Design looks good there as well.
I have two browsers installed in my PC, Firefox and IE but most of the times I use IE because based on my observation it doesn't consume a lot of memory (when you check the Windows Task Manager's Memory usage under the process tab). unlike the Firefox. For me IE is sitll the best
i am using firefox and ie. but most of the time i use FF. i am webmaster and FF is so suitable for webmaster like me. it's got many plugins/extends that so useful.
So it looks like ALMOST everyone uses one or the other to check the design (webmaster should I say) I just check one of my money making related sites and over 59% was using FF and 33% using IE. This thread being so old I see FF making a nice move if you ask me. I think google is helping out alot also. Also gave green rep to everyone who responded to this thread thanks.
