Anyone still doing ringtones?

Yep, the ringtone industry is definitely on the decline, but there is still some money to be made. If you are still running ringtones, which networks/offers are converting best for you at the moment?

Ring N Rock used to perform well, but it seems to have disappeared (at least at the networks I work with) and Flycell has struggled over the last month.

Mobile Funster (RingtoneFav/Funmobile) is another popular choice, but it also hasn't done much for me lately.

Anyone using anything else right now? Dada/Jamster/Funtonia?

Hopefully those of us still doing ringtones can help each other out a little with recommendations.

    Thanks.

Eh, I had a little success with Flycell but I don't think ringtones are that great anymore.

I was looking at the offers and may try to target in different countries outside of the US.

They don't work as well as they used to. Although the affiliates who used to promote them earlier still earn pretty good.

    ALL LIES!

    :)

I've been buying Media for Tatto for the past four years and we've never had a day (okay, maybe just a few days) of less than 10k mobile subs per day... in USA alone.

if any of you are REALLY interested in learning how to promote mobile (ringtones, IQQUIZ, LUVCRUSH, REVERSE AUCTIONS) etc

AIM: TATTOMICHAEL ... i can be hard to get a hold of but just keep hitting me up

but in brief theres ALOT of great stuff that works...

    First of all,

Emerging markets are great, when Flycell rolled out Mexico in early 2009 we did 100k mobile subs per day through buying cheap banner inventory on HI5.com , sonico.com, fotolog.com

Spain was great too, Portugal crushed it...

Theres alot of niche email inventory too worth buying media... when I ran flycell portgual i found this old email portal that is REALLY popular in Portgual because it was one of the first email.. I think it was SAPO.pt ... 10k subs per day @ 3.85 a pop for 3-4 months.

if I had the time/team/resources I'd roll out a campaign like this around WIXAWIN product(s): http://wixawin.com/

It's a dead business. Everyone downloads the mp3 , cuts out a ringtone and he's done.

I wish there was some option to keep the idiots out of threads that you create.

I have a friend who started a music website and got lots of visitors but he couldn't make even one sale. You have to find an idiot to actually pay for a ringtone. There are lots of sites offering free ones ( like zedge).

You asked for an opinion. Next time when you create a thread asking people about something please make sure you state that you want only positive answers. This way you keep ,,idiots" away from your thread.

My thread was asking about which ringtone offers people are promoting. Not for people's opinions on the ringtone industry.

Just because you can't make any money in a niche, doesn't mean other people aren't.

I create my own ring tones and sell them on thumbplay, i made a few sales, but those guys don't pay until you reach a threshold and they don't give any info about how much money you have made, so they could be ripping me off for all i know.

Jamster is working well for me right now. It strange but you need to round robin them a bit to figure out which works. It used to be Funmobile but that died for some strange reason. I dont know what everyone is talking about the industry dieing, its live and kicking for me. Long live Elvis !

Michael, yep, you guys have lots of ringtones. But you are talking from network perspective, you make profit of our revenue, so you really don't care about spend:) Are publishers profitable now ?

Our affiliate retention rate is pretty good,

I know there are at least a handful of Ringtone/PSMS affiliates who buy Adwords PPC for the past 2 years with few campaign interruptions.
