Anyone seen weird movement in the SERPS ?

Around 24 hours ago I saw movement across the board (in the negative) for one of my sites that at first impression looked like a penalty. I'm talking keyphrases that rank #1 to #8 all losing 5 or 6 places. This isn't normal activity (just too much of it). It's something else specific to G.

I've seen no mention of an update, and we've only just had one, so I'm wondering if anyone else has seen this. Slowly but surely, they're all moving back into place, though I've effectively lost 75% of my traffic over a 24hr period, which is now restoring.

    Anyone seen this before ?
Anyone seen any odd activity similar to this ?

Everything is positiv +1-2 positions for keywords that are already on the 1st page of SERPs and +3-7 positions for those on the 2nd page

Good to know I'm not the only one - but this doesn't look like a global update. Please correct me if I'm wrong or you have a line on this.

I for one would like to know what this is. It's not normal. It's not a penalty - it's an adjustment of some sort. Unless I'm mistaken, something obtuse is happening here.

Maybe G's just burping, and i'm warbling about nil, but I'd like to be sure. :)

I'm seeing a massive change in serps for my keywords.
My traffic has been cut in half.
I think they are playing with a filter of some kind.
(my bet is on internal linking)

I'm seeing a lot of negative changes. Some keywords dropping out of the equation completely. Not many positive.

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones…I'm seeing a lot of pretty drastic movement on my placement for my target phrases, but it's all positive. I've actually seen a couple phrases jump 50+ positions. From obscurity to page 1…I won't complain :D

Posted this on seochat as well. Last month, after the 26th, one of my sites lost 70-80% of its listings from google (this was a big site with about 4000 pages in google) - dropped to around 90-100th position on most of them. Yesterday, they all came back stronger than before (for the most part). I think google must have changed something - probably back to before the 26th. They probably realized they turned a dial too far on whatever they changed.

Nothing unusual here. Most kw/p's are showing no movement. A handfull have gone up or down by 1 or 2 spots. Backlinks are the same. No news is good news I guess :)

I have had no movement - BUT - I added 2000 pages of content and it all got indexed in 24 hours AND ranks in top 10 for all (well I tested a few anyhow)

All of these had one internal link from the hp

Movement for my keywords is about the same +/-2. Occassionally, like today I have movement +/- 10 but it all seems to level out within the week.

Movement for my sites has been exceptionally minimal over the past few days.

minimal here too - im only really tracking two in google at the moment and they went down (negative) 2/3 places and then went back up the same amount -basically the same behaviour as i have had for these keywords for the last month.

Mostly normal changes here, but a couple phrases with 25-50 place drop. Nothing I've really targeted, but phrases people do find me under.

I've seen some wild swings for some keyphares lately. Like +46 one day and -35 the next... It happened to 2-3 keywords/keyphrases of mine out of ±50.

Nothing real unusual for me. I had big jumps several weeks ago. However, Googlebot has been going nuts lately. I wonder if something is up at Google??
