Ive been promoting water for gas and I ussually write 3 articles a day and get about 3 sales a day. The passed 5 days I have wrote 22 articles and it only lead to 1 sale. Anyone notice a drop? Anyone No Why? Is it time for a new niche?
I don't promote it, but I've noticed that their gravity dropped, which usually goes up.... Probably because Adwords started to ban PPC campaigns, that's why.
That niche will die soon, google is banning any campaign related to that niche which will result in a fierce competition using article and seo methods. Also the media lately hit it hard by saying that its a scam and so on It would be a good idea to start moving on a more solid niche at this point...
The fact that google is banning PPC for this is good news for some of us. Water4gas is dropping, while Run your car on water has seen a rise of 9 gravity points, which means run your car on water is selling well
It depends how you look at it, obviously some that were using ppc will start on seo and articles, which is extra competition - especially if you take in consideration that the once using ppc are normally the once with most money to spend - they can easily hire someone to write hundreds of articles in a short period. On the opposite side, it can also mean lot of more sales for seo....
Well, I just made my first sale with Water 4 gas not too long ago. I think I'm going to leave this niche alone - too much controversy - and it's not a stable income. Can't build a credible mailing list No long-term guarantee at all! So hopefully I still get the odd sale - but I think I'm done with the controversy - too much uncertainty promoting this product.
After weeks of hard work and inconsistant sales, no more than 2 a day with solid adwords campaigns and 6 articles, this stupid niche costed me about $200 in losses however I learned a shitload. I moved on to a new niche last week and have not looked back.
I do know one thing though - the search rate is still extremely high on this: My article that was just published today already has 143 views. So that's pretty decent. I put out two articles on the niche alone and it has almost 50 visitors today. So there's still a high search rate - just a low sales rate - kinda weird.
another thing that's shocking is that when you type in Water 4 Gas in Google Search - there are no ads at all however; if you type in "water 4 gasoline" - Ads galore!
I believe another reason there is a big drop on Water 4 Gas is the recent changes made on Water 4 Gas website in the past ten days or so. Have you visited the new Water 4 Gas website recently? Have you noticed it took at least 20 seconds or more to load various picrtures and some weird links on IE (the site is loading faster on Firefox). Won't be surprised many left within 5-10 seconds after entering the website. Not only that, when the page access is finished, notice there is a yellow question mark on the bottom left, click it, you see there are some errors on the new website: Line 3011 Char: 7 Error: "SWFObject" is underfined Code:0 URL: http://water4gas.com/2books.htm With millions of $ he made, he cannot get the landing page working right...shhhhh
this is because google banned that term from adwords since its a trademark of water4gas and it was being used to promote other products instead. Obviously water4gas didnt liked it and complained to google...
Yeh the landing page of water4gas really sucks! It always did and sometimes it gets from bad to worst. I wonder how many sales that product would land if its properly done....more than double i guess...
For those who are frustrated, don't waste all your efforts by removing Water4Gas websites. The traffic is still going to your Water4Gas sites. Promote another alternative fuel, Biodiesel. At least this is a proven technology. See this thread that I've started: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=925919
Thats would sure be better than nothing, but its hardly an alternative, it just dosent have the same hype. I would say that if you are fortunate enough you will probbaly get around 30% when compared to water fuel niches
I made $1000 lost month but it has dropped totally this month. I made only $270 until today. I get sales from articles and from ppc. For the past 1 week i am not making any sales. I have no clue what happened to this niche. I use review page it used to covert at more than 5%. Now it has become very worse i tried changing ads landing page. But nothing is useful. So the media seems to have great impact on this niche. I think its the time to move for the next niche.
Ya know, I really think its stupid how the media has made such a negative impact on this niche. I was actually banking off this for some time and I am listed in the top 3 google searches for a specific long tail keyword. I wrote just ONE article that has gotten me over 24,000 views in the last 2 months. And now its all dried up..... It upsets me cause I have brought out videos, news reports, articles, everything you can think of to show as PROOF that this works. I even had others backing me up saying this works too. And the media is just too skeptical and now this is all dried up..... Oh well haha people can have fun paying 6 bucks a gallon for gas and stick their thumbs where the sun dont shine. Cause this technology is advancing into car companies now. So its either pay a small amount and build it yourself or pay $40,000 for a new "hydrogen car" made by Honda or GM. *Sigh* Moving on.....
I tried to promote it a few times and never got any sales. I have had the best luck with the Google Adsense books.
I also have seen my sales drop from over 1000 in one 2-week period to a little over 200 in the next. Yes, Google is winding down this adwords niche. I received a letter from them saying that they had decided to stop all water fuel related ads for various reasons, including legal, cultural (??), business and feedback. I have purchased one of these products and have read honest analyses by engineers and other experts, so I know it is not a scam. I believe it is simply due to pressure from big industries that this system (and consequently niche) is being quenched.
The landing page is TERRIBLE!!! Check out this one - www.waterinmytank.com they are still converting pretty well for me and the landing page is pretty good. I don't think it's dead yet - gas prices are still high, the economy SUCKS and people are looking for ways to save money any way they can - beside as some else stated - it's not a scam - I've got a system on my car too and it REALLY works and is saving me money. It's really hard to understand why google would say this was a scam???? Any guesses??? It just doesn't make sense - it works and it's a perfect product for the times. Patrick
