Anyone recommend a good ASP.net host?

Discussion in 'C#' started by sunnymonkey, Sep 2, 2008.

Just starting to make stuff with ASP now and am looking to be able to develop it online rather than locally now so that I can share my work etc with others.

I have been hosting on linux plans for many years, but am only just looking for a windows hosting provider.

I am after one with MS SQL not just MySQL. Any recommendations etc?

Are you referring to classic ASP or Asp.net?

Anyways here are some good and reliable ones

    ixwebhosting.com (Windows account)
    brinskter.com
    godaddy.com (Windows account)

    Thanks

Many thanks. Just what I needed. Have seen brinkster mentioned a couple of times now.

FYI, my post title is "Anyone recommend a good ASP.net host?" so it's .net ;) lol

    Thanks again

godaddy is not so good. they have blocked many object creations. even that are necessary. highly metered hosting also get your heavy website error "Time Out"

I am using M6 for some of my US hosting, it specializes in ASP and has quite decent performance after its migration to Plesk, its previous controlpanel was quite a nightmare.

I use godaddy and there cheap.. you get ASP.NET and a 200 meg SQL Server 2005 database, 10 mysql databases, for like $4 bucks and you can switch back and forth between linux (php) and windows(asp.net)
