Anyone Promote Yahoo Personals via CJ?

Just wondering if anyone promotes Yahoo Personals (or any other online dating site) through CJ? What is your experience?

I promote Yahoo personals via CJ and think conversios are slightly low (I average about 1 conversion per month in about 200 clicks).

I alos promote Match.com via Linkshare (didn'ts ee a lLinkshare section here on DP) and the payouts are much better than the $22 per join Yahoo Personals pays, but I get a lot of 'Orders' per month and only - again - 2-3 sign-ups 'items'. Does anyone else here promote Match via Linkshare or Yahoo vis CJ and what have your experiences been?

Are there other Online Dating advertisers on CJ with whom I could be doing better?

    Thanks!

So could either of you provide some more useful information?

I see that it is low conversion, as is Match.com via linkshare.

What is the solution? What are your wenbsites? What dating affiliates convert better?

You could create your own dating site (for free, and we host and run it) using our system, please email me at for more info and an extra 10% on your first months revenue.

One reason why dating sites don't convert well is the domineering presence of plentyoffish.com, which is free for all.

Not quite true many people try to use free dating sites first but generaly, they are not very user friendly and have a very low feature set, this is why Markus also runs paid dating sites.

I tried doing it through ads on CL - it converted a few times, but it was pretty rare. I also tried some facebook ads, again with limited success.

You have to have really specific content I think to convert..dating site review is an example.

Hey everybody--thank you for the responses, but they don't really answer my question!!!

I have a dating site that is ranked better for *some* organic personals-related search terms than even Match.com or Yahoo Personals. The secret? TONS of fresh, original content. Got that.....

4 years ago this site made an easy 3k per month from Match etc.

NOW..I'm lucky to pull $500 from Match (via Linkshare) so on some of my newer pages, I have begun experiemneting with Yahoo Personals. Yahoo pays a flat $22 commission on memberships (which is lower than Match, which pays 70-100%) so I am trying to figure out if the conversions will be so much better with Yahoo Personals as to make up the difference for the lower average per-sign-up commission.

Anyway, if anyone has been an online dating affiliate for a few years and has something to add to this discussion, please let me know.
