Zeal ruled that Nuclear Now was a commercial site. I countered that I wasn't exactly selling nuclear <bleep> power. I lost that battle, but Zeal is losing the war.
haha ... i like that I was an editor there once (may still be) but lost interest ... not worth my time!
lmao. I am not going to suffer thru 17 more time until I finally pass lol (I was one of those peon editors that logged in once a year)
You can tell me here what you want to post. I can suggest or say improve my category if your site is good.
I passed..... It is really pointless though. The only way you can pass is by repeating it until youve got it. Maybe its a ploy to only have keen editors apply??? Maybe something dmoz should think about????
Just save all the pages with the correct right answers and you have done 90% of job there. Also please don't forget to specify your gender as female. Other zealots won't rate your site that hard. They will be little soft with you when your profile says female with a nice photograph.
Passed the test after a good hour an a half of yelling at the screen. Take my advice and print the screen of each result of each test as they give you the correct answers. One shred of adsense or any sales item and you're screwed. What a pain. I will say however (though I haven't tried) that some people have informational websites with links to their commercial site and maybe those are worth linking. That said at the end of the day what kind of link do you get? Best case for me didn't even have PR on it. In writing this means ZEAL has taken even more of my time.
I passed but it seemed as if it's not worth it. You need to be in that higher enchelon to be able to put a site for inclusion. They are super strict. When they say non-commercial they really mean it. That rule out 98 % of DP members' site.
And of course, you could take AdSense down for a few days while your link was being reviewed... But then what do you win? One link! Who cares about one link!
Zeal also has Adsense ads on its website. Having Adsense is ok. What you should do is, post a question on their community exchange. Wait for some editors to answer and then list your site. My website has Adsense and they rejected once. Reason was: Coincidentally while an editor was reviewing my website, all my adsense ads were displaying animated ads. This gave the impression that iam using banners. Calssifying my website as commercial, they rejected. Remember animated adsense ads will not have 'Ads by gooogle' on it. When i countered, that my website doesnot have any banners, they reviewed again and listed my website. I almost have 6-7 links from zeal now.
I passed with a 100% my first time. All you have to do is avoid the answers that sound like common sense and go for the official sounding BS answers.
I passed the first quiz on some 3th or 4th attempt, then tried to submit few of my sites, but one was rejected and the rest never checked. Becoming an editor seems like a lot of work to do. With 75 point you can hardly find any good category. I takes much time and I'm not if it worth it...
