I am going to buy one today.
Hopefully all games will run till end of 2009.:)
Any reviews? And which is the best?
    Like EVGA, ASUS, XFX etc?

It's a GPU ;) Shreyash, sure you'll be able to run games with the GPU in 2009 but most probably at the lowest possible settings. The 8600 isn't much of a powerful card, it wasn't last year and it definately won't be next year. I would suggest going above budget and buy an 8800 unless you like playing games on medium settings in low resolution :)

I've got 8700gt on my Toshiba x200. Its nice. I can play Crysis on HIGH, no lags... it runs smooth.

8700gt and 8600gt are pretty same.

8600gt is a pretty decent game....game like ut 3 and crysis would run at medium settings without any log....you might get good fps.....However 8800gt is the best card if you are a true hardcore gamer...:p

8800GT (evga) is the best. I personally own the 8600 and it works pretty well with games such as oblivion, stalker, need for speed pro street, PES 2008 and others

No, I don't. When I first saw this, I thought this was a car. The GT sounded like it.
