Just piqued my interest in ready the news about all these news gTLD extensions, and mind-boggled by pricing to own them. Anyone honestly own one... and are you finding any return on your investment?
After a coupon code, there not a huge bank braker. Can't imagine many buyers are developing sites on these just yet, at least really extensive ones or do they make much on parking. I bought a couple .guru's and .directory's. I don't care too much for the others.
I got a few, mostly forum related ie forum dot diamonds .I figure they are pretty easily to remember which makes them good for branding. Any domain is only valuable if you find someone willing to pay for it.
Honestly, didn't think about coupon codes. I just wasn't sure if any of these extensions would really pan out as a long-term investment.
I grabbed a norwegian.careers(Going to be a job search site), norwegian.computer(currently redirected to my site) and norwegian.cab(not sure what im gonna do with it yet).
.guru is OK even it's phonetically the same with one kind of pie with cheese. Since all the people who work with domains know that typos is HUGE issue i wonder how gTLDs companies will deal with it. For me i believe it's good to make negotiations with browser companies and enter all their typos and let the computer software do the trick. If not, wait for a total mess.
