Does anyone here own their own SEO or Backlinks business? Is profitable if you operate ONLY online and do not solicit customers from offline?
I have known some people who own their own seo business and they do alot to get certifications from all the major search engines. Owning a backlink company meaning they sel backlinks?.....dont recommend that since it will only hurt you efforts over the long run. it is like buying fake views for youtube.,,you might see a small icrease in real views but I would always sugges doing i righ the first time and sooner or later you willfind something that takes off. As far as SEO Business It is something I wouldn't want to be in because it really isn't a great business model. The whole talk about SEO has been very trite in a way and it has only grown worse in its misconceptions. Using taglines such as increasing rankings, keyword density, optimization and so forth is overused to say the very least. What you need to focus on is making websites that cater more to people then google. This sounds backwards in a way but if you focus on content and the end user ...the rankings will usually follow depending on your niche and how saturated it is. Having things on your site that allow users to comment and engage other users creates your content for you and is very important because it will be constantly evolving based trends and what others are talking about. This is why forums rank pretty high for certain topics. Being available to your users is also important, but I also do understand that his may not relate very well to simple landing pages...sure if you are trying to promote them naked. Build up a good site and include your niche specific landing pages around these pages and your conversions will grow the more active you in recruiting readers as well as collecting more emails which will allow you to sell later...yea i know not mind blowing stuff.....cause it doesnt have to be SEO business nah....do it yourself most of the time. Those who have a lot of pages might want to use out side sources to get the ball rolling but relying on services is not the best move I think
