Anyone own a dog with severe arthritis ? My boy (10 year rottweiler)has been on rymdyl (which is for pain relief, and anti-inflammatory)for a few years and it's helped rather well. Recently though he is not coping so good. Anyone have success with an older dog with severe arthritis I would love to hear what has worked for you. I will take him to the vet next week to discuss more options but if I have some knowledge of perhaps different pain medications that have worked for others I can mention during the visit. I will know when the time is right to have him put down and won't let him suffer. He is my baby and the thought of having him put down is almost killing me so if I can do anything to easy the pain.... I've already tried msm and a few other supplements but he is way past the stage of controlling the arthritis, we need more pain relief...
