Anyone noticed Google's eased up on their Duplicate Content Filter?

I noticed my site is slowly gaining the pages back that was lost (filtered) due to the Google's new duplicate content filter from last month. Anyone else noticed?

maha, google is finally getting around to fixing the 302 redirect hijack problem (which affected the dup filter), so perhaps your return is in relation to that. just a thought...

Why you think 302 redirect hijack problem related with dup filter?
Maybe partially (while redirecting), but at whole when just coping content?

It's like all these threads, you can't know and you don't know. You can only collect data and make a guess.

Basically the only tangable thing recieved for the effort is a warm fuzzy feeling inside that justifies your thought, read "guess".

One of our client sites had a problem with G when a link partner was using 302's. G was dropping hundreds of pages from the index. Once the 302 was removed (and a few emails sent to G) all of the pages came back.

For my keyphrase, I’m still seeing 3 or 4 sets of SERPs and in one of them, a competitor who has at least 3 mirrors is back on page one.

He was sent to page 3 in the Feb 7 update, I’m assuming for dup content. The site I reference is blatant, and the mirrors still exist.

So, I don’t understand why a mere 70 days or so would be considered a sufficient penalty.

afactory, once a site was hijacked, google saw the two pages (the hijacker's non-existant page that google thought was a page) and the real, original page as being dups - and sometimes the hijacker won the battle of the dups.
