Has anyone noticed that TV shows such as news and reality are using a "bating" techniques to get people on their sites? They are doing it more and more....

I bet they have been told by a department that getting people on and sating onto their pages will help with SE rankings...

I have noticed a major increase in TV to web site marketing....

Yes gradually more tv shows are realizing the benefits of drawing people to their website. They are now realizing that it can be a whole new source of revenue and it can help with viewer loyalty. I think once one tv show starts doing it, the others figure they need to jump on the bandwagon too. Eventually there will be few tv shows or commercials that don't mention a website.

Yeah, and they really are refining their techniques, they say something that gets your attention, draw you in and then say "if you want to hear more, learn more or whatever then visit our web site at "Joe's blog.com"

It's not only tv, almost all media are doing it these days. From radio, newspaper and magazine are doing the same method.

Yes, it's now part of offering a complete multimedia experience instead of just providing a tv show or a newspaper
