Anyone notice the page eCPM goes down as day progresses?

I've been noticing that my page eCPM is much higher as the day begins and ends up being about half of what it was by the time the stats finish for the day.

It seems to move down on a pretty consistent slope. Does this happen to anyone else? If so, do you know why?

The ads which pays higher are gone because they reached their daily limit.

This happens to me, too. It started happening last month.

In June, in the mornings, my earnings and eCPM were really bad. As the day progressed, everything improved until they reached normal levels.

However, this month, in the mornings, my eCPM is sky high! As the day progresses, my eCPM stedily drops until it reaches normal levels.

    This is a strange phenomenon.

Hmmmm, this is what happens to me, too but I never thought much of it. It explains why CPM ads tend to run on my site early in the day but not late.

You will also notice that it goes down towards the end of the month as budgets run out.

For more competitive markets you will see less of a drop because there is more inventory of ads with high bids and a bigger allowance.

I've noticed the higher eCPM early in the day, but it's not always the case. Never noticed an end-of-the-month drop though.

I haven't noticed end of the month drops either, rather the opposite. It seems like companies in my fields like to make an advertising push at the end of the month.
