    Hey guys..

    ive gone from 850 k pages to 290k pages over nite... i'm assuming the ones google dropped were pages that for some reason weren't well indexed (with titles and descriptions even tho they each have unique titles/descriptions...

    i look at all our serps today and see the title and description on every page index.. so serps are much cleaner... but index page count went down

    google i think if it slowed down the bot just a little bit and let it thoroughly cache and index pages so titles and descriptions appear in more cases, this drop wouldn't have happened ...

    About 80% of all my SERPS in google are not fully cached - no deep indexing except for maybe 20%.

    I had the same thing happen to me a couple of days ago, big drop in pages and the ones that came back actually had descriptions.

    I have noticed that some sites seem to get rolled back to old indexes once in a while. They usually return.

    One site went from 25k to 0 pages over the weekend.
    I also updated the sites coop weight and it has dropped from 30k down to 880:mad:

    I'm not game to check my other sites.

    It is an indicator for your site being penalized / banned by Google. Check your site for duplicate content, linking to bad neighborhood, massive keyword stuffing, hidden text / links etc.

    If you find anything like that, remove it and send an e-mail to and wait.

    google doesn't really like hidden links or hidden tags. Also the Indexed Page counts are dropping because of the meta keyword not existing on the page content

    In my expereance, and others, removing your meta keywords helps your google ranking. Google uses content for keywords, not meta.

    I had the same problem, I don't even use any hiddin text or links, all of the out links have a rel="external nofollow"
    and I'm using <h1> tag for my navigation menu, and <h2> for the main points and keywords in each page
    and I only use the following meta tags

    <meta name="description" content="every page had the 1st 200 chracter from it's content here" />
    <meta name="ROBOTS" content="INDEX,FOLLOW" />
    <meta name="CONTENT-LANGUAGE" content="AR,en-US" />
    <meta name="revisit-after" content="1 day" />
    Code (markup):
    and the problem just start happen to me since a month ago!

    any ideas?
