Anyone notice a drop in traffic in December?

I have noticed a drop in traffic for almost all my sites. In fact ALL my sites are showing drops in traffic for the past 1 week. Do you think it's because of Christmas, and people just not going online as much?

I'm beginning to think, the weekdays are starting to look a lot like the weekends - low traffic.

 

Yea i did as well.. Traffic is as usual but rates per click are low for me! There is another thread on dp about the same thing!

 

I would assume that it is because of Xmas unless you have a shopping site.

 

It is common for a lot of sites to experience a drop during the holiday season. People are out doing holiday stuff and spending less time Online. The busiest sites will be the big store sites. Cheer up though, when the holidays are over, shopping cuts down due to lack of funds and people find free things to do like surfing.

 

My Adsense rev have dropped as well ...I hate December.

 

Ya, traffic has gone down this month for me too, but I'm expecting an increase next year.

This time of year is always slow. You guys worry too much.

Cheer up - traffic will pick up again in January (usually about the second week).

Traffic usually falls this December because people are all busy shopping and looking to buy gifts.

Holiday will effect u

 

Obvious reason people are in holiday mood, this is the best time to do some improvement of your site and work on seo part.

 

Mine actually went up because I started answering questions and putting relevant links to my sites on my answers.
