    My sales have gone up

because I am in a market that works in any economy

the key is to find something that people need no matter what. Focus on the basics that people buy no matter what.

With the financial crisis and stock market roller coaster going on right now there are people losing money. (Mostly people who hoard and sit on there money) But there are also people making allot of money not just short sellers either.

Smart people can make money in no matter what economy it really is the people with the ability to adapt that will make the money. The people stuck in there ways will always come up short.

Hmm, maybe there is a slowdown, but since prices in internet are lower usually and you don't need to walk/drive to shop which is money too it's still more wining position comparing with offline.

Not really cause you have to pay for shipping or at least shipping on some big orders on certain types of products.

I have not really noticed much of a difference if im honest, traffic is the same and sales are pretty much the same.

reading through this thread it seems that everyone that said theirs have increased or stayed the same have simply been bashed by the original thread starter that they must be small and not have many sites or traffic to see a difference.

How many sites and traffic you have does not mean you do not see a difference in peoples fincial situations. If I get 20% sales last month and I get 20% sales this month then the finicial situation has not change my sales no matter how much tarffic my site see's.

Not to say you have not experienced this as I know many affiliates have and would but has any of your sites change in search engine position, has traffic decreased due to competition in your selected niches?

Going on what others have said, target niches that will work in this situation. Credit cards, loans, survey offers etc :)

Or you could word your content to make the visitor feel they "need" your product your promoting :)

Finally a decent answer, thanks. Id say my sales are probably down that much too in some areas. It appears maybe even alot more in some areas, in the last month. Im convinced most people here have very little traffic and sales and that is why most aren't seeing a difference cause its difficult to tell if your getting very little in the first place.
